Hong Kong shares tumbled 1.30 per cent on Thursday following another poor set of manufacturing data from China and on disappointment over the US Federal Reserve's stimulus move.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index shed 253.78 points to 19,265.07 on turnover of HK$47.31 billion ($A6.01 billion).
Chinese shares closed down 1.40 per cent. The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, lost 32.00 points to 2,260.88 on turnover of 54.7 billion yuan.
