The Australian share market has opened more than half a per cent higher.

At 1010 AEST on Tuesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 23.4 points, or 0.57 per cent, at 4,097, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 24.9 points, or 0.60 per cent, at 4,149.3.

On the ASX 24, the June share price index futures contract was up 28 points at 4,100, with 8,730 contracts traded.
