Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Wednesday, June 19:

EGP - ECHO ENTERTAINMENT - up three cents at $3.04

Gaming and leisure group Genting Hong Kong has increased its stake in Australian casino owner Echo Entertainment.

ELD - ELDERS - down two cents, or 22.22 per cent, at seven cents

RHL - RURALCO - down nine cents, or 2.65 per cent, at $3.30

Elders has shunned a takeover bid for its rural services division by rival Ruralco.

LEI - LEIGHTON HOLDINGS - down 27 cents at $15.62

Construction giant Leighton has appointed three new board members to replace several directors that resigned because of a rift with the company's major shareholder.

MCP - MCPHERSON'S - down 1.5 cents at $1.83

Cutlery, kitchen goods and beauty product marketer McPherson's is set to post a full year loss because of a major expansion of its business.

QAN - QANTAS AIRWAYS - down three cents, or 2.14 per cent, at $1.37

Security screening staff at Perth Airport's Qantas terminal have dug in for a fourth week of industrial action as they remain embroiled in a wage dispute with employer MSS Security.

SWJ - STONEWALL RESOURCES - up one cent, or 8.33 per cent, at 13 cents.

Chinese energy company Shandong has raised funds to buy a subsidiary of Australian gold miner Stonewall Resources.

UGL - UGL - up seven cents, or 1.06 per cent, at $6.66

Engineering firm UGL has secured $120 million in new contracts across its global property services business, DTZ.
