Transfield Services' contract for maintenance and services on New Zealand's electricity grid has been renewed.
The $NZ318 million ($A247.77 million) six-year contract with Transpower begins, starting on July 1, has the potential for an additional $NZ180 million ($A140.25 million) of work.
The contract also includes a separate three-year extension option.
"This contract extends our 15-year relationship with Transpower and reinforces our position as a leading provider of power and transmission services in New Zealand," chief executive Peter Goode said in a statement on Monday.
