Rex Minerals Ltd (Rex) is an Australia-based minerals exploration and development company with large-scale copper-gold projects on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. As of June 30, 2012, the Company’s exploration projects included Hillside Copper-Gold Project on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia; Pine Point Copper Belt on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia, and The Cowell project. At Hillside, the Company has discovered copper-gold mineralization on four separate structures, Dart, Zanoni, Parsee and Songvaar. These structures are defined by a magnetic anomaly that exists over an area that is 2.5 kilometers long and 700 meters wide. The primary copper mineralization at Hillside is dominated by the copper mineral chalcopyrite, which is typically found in association with magnetite and pyrite. In June 2013, the Company announced that JPMorgan Chase & Co and its affiliates have ceased to be substantial shareholder of the Company.
