The Company is engaged in the exploration for and evaluation of iron ore projects and joint venturing with other mining companies to explore for minerals. The Company operates in two segments: Karara Iron Ore Project, which includes the Company’s share of this incorporated joint venture, and All other segments, which includes all other 100% owned or joint venture projects. It is also engaged in developing a portfolio of projects in the State’s Mid West region. Karara Iron Ore Project is located 200 kilometer east of Geraldton in Western Australia, the Karara Iron Ore Project is being developed by Karara Mining Limited (KML), a 50:50 Joint Venture between Gindalbie Metals and Chinese steel producer, AnSteel. Shine Project is located approximately 40km north-east of the Karara Iron Ore Project. The Company’s subsidiaries include Karara Energy Pty Ltd, Karara Pellet Plant Ltd, Karara Rail Pty Ltd and Gindalbie (Anketell) Ltd.
