Optus , has seen its profit down 3.6 per cent in the last quarter on the back of declining mobile income. Revenue in last the quarter ending March 2013 of $2.17 billion was down 5.4% from to $2.29 billion in the same period the previous year. The poor performance of Optus also dragged down the revenue of SingTel, its parent company by as much as 6.3%. Optus added 33,000 new customers in the past three months.
