AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MINING SHARES
Not surprisingly, metals and mining is the largest group by number among ASX-listed companies, according to Professors Trench and Packey, both from the mineral and energy economics department at Curtin University.
With around 850 companies involved in mineral exploration, development and production, it represents around 40% of all ASX-listed companies. The resources giants BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto are well known, but what about the rest?
According to Trench and Packey, these are the companies we should be watching: future leaders “will emerge from the ranks of the mid-tier producers and junior explorers”. Theyprofile companies involved with each commodity, from aluminium to zinc, helping you to assess the risks and identify those with significant potential to increase in value.
