What is it? Visa and Marvel comics have teamed up to put together a financial literacy comic book called Avengers: Saving the Day. The 16-page comic book introduces young readers to basic budgeting, saving and financial knowledge.

What you’ll find: Spider-man, Iron man, Thor, Hulk and other members of the Avengers take on the evil Mole man and his henchmen. During their action-packed mission, Iron man teaches Spider-man how to budget in order to buy his Aunt May a birthday gift. Iron man also finds the time to introduce the young reader to some simple financial terms.

Why we like it: It’s a great way to engage young people and get them to read about basic financial knowledge using some of the world’s greatest superheroes many of us have grown up with and love. Visit www.marvel.com/digitalcomics/view_white.htm?iid=24592 to read the comic online.
