BLY - BOART LONGYEAR - down 88 cents at $1.50

Almost $406 million was wiped from the market value of Boart Longyear after the company downgraded its earnings guidance and provided a negative outlook for the mining industry that it services.

FMG - FORTESCUE METALS GROUP - down six cents at $3.59

Fortescue Metals Group chairman Andrew Forrest has spent nearly $39 million in two days increasing his shareholding in the mining company he founded, as its shares and iron ore prices plunge.

HVN - HARVEY NORMAN HOLDINGS - last traded at $2.10

The retail company will report its full year results on Friday.
